I weep for the future

Jon Wilner of the the Mercury News had an item in his blog today about some displeasure over FOX's use of its inventory of Pac-12 football games. Sounds as though folks out west don't think they're getting the exposure from this deal that they were promised.
Earlier in the week, South Carolina athletic director Ray Tanner voiced his displeasure with Paul Finebaum, ESPN's resident college football parasite, doing Gamecocks star Jadeveon Clowney dirty. Tanner indicated the rest of the SEC school administrators share his concerns about Finebaum, who also happens to be the centerpiece of the Worldwide Leader's forthcoming conference network.
These conferences and schools have accepted literally billions of dollars from media conglomerates for their football content. Now, they want to bitch about how these companies intend to profit off of them?
Remind me why we're trusting these Masters of the Universe not to screw up the best sport ever invented.
